במהלך הטיול הייתי בהרבה מקומות מבודדים שאף אחד לא מגיע להם. כעת, המעבר שהחלטתי לעשות מאל צ׳אלטן ליישוב וייה אוהיגינס שבצ׳ילה מצטרף אליהם בגדול. רק מתי מעט יודעים על המעבר הזה וגם אלו שכן לא משוגעים מספיק בשביל לעשות אותו. אני קראתי לו ״המעבר של הפסיכופטים״. בכדי להצליח לעבור אותו ולהגיע לוייה אוהיגינס, עליי לקחת אוטובוס אל אגם ״לאגו דל דיסרטו״ ולחצות אותו במעבורת. לאחר מכן להחתים את הדרכון בביתן הגבול הארגנטינאי ולצעוד 22 ק״מ עם כל הציוד שלי אל ביתן משמר הגבול בצד הצ׳יליאני ולהחתים שם את הדרכון. לאחר מכן לקחת עוד מעבורת ואוטובוס עד שלבסוף אגיע אל וייה אוהיגינס שבקצהו הדרומי ביותר של כביש אנטיגוס וצ׳ילה צ׳יקו שמשם מתחילים את הקרטרה (ל״אמיצים״). אצלי כאמור זהו מעבר שכמעט אף אחד לא עושה, ובטח שלא ישראלים. אני כמובן, לא אוותר הרפתקה כזו אפילו אם זהאומר שיהיה לי קצת יותר קשה.חיכיתי בבוקר בכניסה לקמפינג ובאמת אסף אותי מיניבוס שהיה עמוס להפליא בתיירים אמריקאים. מאוד הופתעתי, האם יכול להיות שכולם עושים את המעבר? מיד הבנתי שלא, רק אני ועוד ספרדי הם המשוגעים, וכל השאר ממשיכים עם המעבורת בענן שלמה שהופיעה מולנו. הדבר היה כל כך יפה שאפילו נהג המיניבוס יצא החוצה לצלם. המשכנו עוד כשעה של נסיעה והגענו אל לאגו דל דיסרטו. עלינו לתצפית יפה על האגם ומיד לאחריה על המעבורת. שטנו כעשרים קילומטרים צפונה, כשמסביבנו רק הרים עם קרחונים ומאחורינו בצבצה פסגתו של הפיץ רוי. בצידו השני של האגם רק אני ואלבארו הספרדי ירדנו מהמעבורת. נותרנו לבד על החוף כשרק בקתה קטנה של משמר הגבול הארגנטיני הפרידה בינינו ליערות וההרים שמאחורינו. החתמנו את הדרכונים ויצאנו לדרך, למסע המפרך. 22 קילומטרים של הליכה עם כל הציוד על הגב. זהו מסלול ההליכה הראשון שבו עליי לסחוב את כל הציוד שלי, שמשקלו נושק ל-30 קילו. הייתי מאוד בלחץ ולא ידעתי איך אצליח לשרוד מסע כל כך ארוך עם המשקל הזה. ובכדי להקשות עוד יותר, המעבורת השנייה צפויה לצאת ב-19 בערב. כלומר עליי לסיים את כל הקילומטרים הללו בפחות משמונה שעות. ששת הקילומטרים עד לגבול היו קשים. שביל צר ומסובך בתוך היער. עליות וירידות, מעבר לצד עצים שנפלו ומעל לנחלים, והכל עם כל המשקל על הגב. המשכתי בכל הכח והצלחתי להתמיד בקצב טוב ולהגיע אל הגבול כבר בתוך שעה וחצי. עשינו במקום מנוחה קלה לארוחת צהריים. מעבר הגבול הוא פשוט עמוד המסמן את המקום המדויק, כמובן שאין גדר. שלטים המברכים על הכניסה לצ׳ילה או ארגנטינה נמצאים משני צידי הגבול. המשכנו ללכת, בצד הצ׳יליאני הדרך כבר הרבה יותר טובה. ניתן לנסוע אותה ברכב עד הגבול ולכן הדרך מסודרת מאוד, עם גשרים מעל הנחלים ושלטי הכוונה. כ-16 ק״מ של הליכה. אלבארו ואני הצלחנו להתקדם בקצב מהיר מאוד על הדרך, למרות כל המשקל האדיר. לאחר כמה קילומטרים פתאום שמענו רעש מוכר, מנוע של רכב שאכן הופיע לפנינו ונסע נגד כיוונינו. שמחנו מאוד שכן הרכב בודאי צריך גם לחזור מתישהו, אין דרך אחרת. החלטנו בינתיים להמשיך ללכת עד שיגיע מאחורינו. החלטה שהתבררה כחכמה במיוחד. התקדמנו עוד קילומטרים רבים, עוברים בתוך היערות ולצד הנחלים היפים. בדרך פגשנו עוד צ׳יליאני בדרכו לוייה אוהיגינס גם כן. חלפנו גם על פני מנחת קטן ונטוש, שכנראה משמש את הצבא הצ׳יליאני להעברת כוחות מהירה במידת הצורך. רק כחמישה קילומטרים לפני סיום השביל שמענו את הרכב מגיע מאחורינו ועוצר לידינו. ביקשנו טרמפ ובלי להתבלבל האישה שנהגה בג׳יפ ביקשה 5000 פזו מכל אחד. הזדעזעתי מהחוצפה ואמרתי לה שאני כבר מעדיף ללכת. אמרתי לה שאני מוכן לשלם 1000 פזו לכל היותר. אלבארו והצ׳יליאני כבר דמיינו את הישיבה ברכב ולא היו מוכנים לוותר. לבסוף שילמנו 10000 על שלושתינו, עדיין מאוד לא יפה לדעתי. מאוחר יותר הסתבר לנו שהאישה שייכת למשפחה היחידה שגרה במקום ומפעילה את הקמפינג, שבכל מקרה היינו עתידים להגיע אליו ולשלם להם. המקום נקרא ״קנדלריו מנסייה״ וחוץ מהבקתה של משמר הגבול, בית המשפחה והקמפינג אין במקום כלום. האישה עצרה לנו בבקתה של משמר הגבול הצ׳יליאני, החתמנו את הדרכונים והמשכנו עד הקמפינג שנמצא לצד אגם אוהיגינס הגדול והכחול. התבשרנו מפי האישה שהמעבורת של היום מבוטלת בשל מזג האוויר ואולי תהיה עוד אחת למחרת. מאוד פקפקתי באמינות הדברים. היה נדמה לי שהיא מנסה לעבוד עלינו בכדי שנישן בקמפינג שלהם. פגשתי שם גרמני, הולנדי, זוג אמריקאים וזוג צרפתים התקועים במקום כבר שלושה ימים שכן כל המעבורות בוטלו. הם סיפרו על אנשים רבים שהגיעו למקום, נתקעו למספר ימים והעדיפו לחזור לאל צ׳אלטן מאשר לבזבז את זמנם במקום הזה. לא פרסתי את האוהל או פתחתי את הציוד, חיכיתי בתצפית על המזח עד השעה שבע בערב ורק לאחר שוידאתי שבאמת המעבורת לא מגיעה פתחתי את האוהל. אכלתי שם ארוחת ערב נחמדה במטבח המאולתר, פגשתי את החבר׳ה ששהו שם ומאוד התחברתי עם אן ופטריק האמריקאים. במקום היה גם מדריך טיפוס ארגנטינאי שבה לביקור ולמחרת צפוי לחזור לאל צ׳אלטן. כמובן שהוא הכין המון סטייקים מעולים ונתן לי לאכול כשגילה שהכין יותר מידי. בהחלט שדרג לי את הארוחה. את הבשר הוא קנה מבעל הקמפינג שבדיוק שחט את אחת הפרות שלו.למחרת בבוקר קיפלנו את הציוד וירדנו לחכות בציפיה ברציף למעבורת. לאט לאט הצטברו במקום יותר ויותר אנשים, לא ברור מאיפה הם הגיעו. כולם היו תקועים במשך מספר ימים, ואני למזלי רק ליום אחד. לפי השמועות היו צפויות להגיע שתי מעבורות, קצת קשה להאמין לכך לאחר שבמשך ארבעה ימים אף מעבורת לא הגיעה. לאחר ציפיה רבה באמת הופיעה סירה קטנה באופק, לא המעבורת שדמיינתי. אל הסירה עלו רק מי שהיה לו כרטיס מראש, שלמזלי קניתי באל צ׳אלטן. עליתי עם כל הציוד וישבתי במקומי. על הרציף נשארו כעשרה אנשים שביניהם הזוג הצרפתי וקיוו שבאמת תגיע עוד מעבורת. יצאנו לדרך, שייט מהיר של שעתיים. הסירה אטומה לחלוטין לרוח
